Arcana Chronicles

The Arcana Chronicles, Kresley Cole’s first foray into Young Adult, is a dark, intriguing new world, full of unspeakable danger and irresistible romance.

Book one is called Poison Princess, and it is the first young adult book from Kresley Cole.

Poison Princess centers on 16-year-old Evangeline “Evie” Greene, a privileged teenager from Louisiana. When an apocalyptic event decimates her hometown, killing everyone she loves, Evie realizes the hallucinations she’d been having for the past year were actually visions of the future — and they’re still happening. Fighting for her life and desperate for answers, she must turn to her wrong-side-of-the-bayou classmate: Jack Deveaux. As Jack and Evie race to find the source of her visions, they meet others who have gotten the same call. An ancient prophecy is being played out, and Evie is not the only one with special powers. A group of teens have been chosen to re-enact the ultimate battle between good and evil. But it’s not always clear who is on which side …

Evie has now fully come into her powers as the tarot Empress. And Jackson was there to see it all. In the aftermath of killing Arthur, the tarot Alchemist, Evie realizes that a war is brewing between the other teens that, following the apocalypse, have been given powers and its kill or be killed. Things get even more complicated when Evie meets Death, the mysterious, sexy Endless Knight. Somehow the Empress and Death share a romantic history – one that Evie can’t remember, but Death can’t forget. She is drawn to the Endless Knight, but is in love with Jack. Determined to discover why she’s been granted these powers, Evie struggles to accept her place in a prophecy that will either save the world, or completely destroy it.

Coming Soon full sizedead of winterThe third book in the Arcana Chronicles series will be called Dead of Winter. It has a release date of January 6th.

Can Evie convince her rival loves to work together? Their survival depends on it in this third book of #1 New York Times bestselling author Kresley Cole’s Arcana Chronicles, a nonstop action tale of rescue, redemption, and a revenge most wicked.

Heartbreaking decisions
Evie was almost seduced by the life of comfort that Death offered her—until Jack was threatened by two of the most horrific Arcana, The Lovers. She will do anything to save him, even escape Death’s uncanny prison, full of beautiful objects, material comforts…and stolen glances from a former love.

Uncertain victory
Despite leaving a part of her heart behind with Death, Evie sets out into a frozen and perilous post-apocalyptic wasteland to meet up with her allies and launch an attack on The Lovers and the vast army they command. Such formidable enemies require a battle plan, and the only way to kill them once and for all may mean Evie, Jack, and Death allying. Evie doesn’t know what will prove more impossible: surviving slavers, plague, Bagmen and other Arcana—or convincing Jack and Death to work together.

Two heroes returned
There’s a thin line between love and hate, and Evie just doesn’t know where she stands with either Jack or Death. Will this unlikely trio be able to defeat The Lovers without killing one another first?

  1. Read a bit already off the website. Looks good and I’m excited about it.

  2. I’m not a huge young adult reader… is this a good? I love Kresley Cole so I’m on the fence…

    • I just got to start it, then had a long stretch of working double shifts so I never could really get the time to get into it. I would love to hear what everyone else though of it, though.

  3. I’m way behind in my reading as of late too, husband just got home from deployment and he keeps me running around! The positive side for double shifts is good money at least :) I’m sure I’ll crack and read it sooner or later! I finally just finished Riaz’s book yesterday… It was like Hawke and Sienna 2.0 (i like) lol

  4. Love poison princess!!! If you are a kresley cole fan you will fall in love with this new book/series. I have read everything she has written and this latest gem is of the same caliber and detailed richness as all of her amazing stories. This story is original and the characters are captivating. I wish we did not have to wait an entire year for the next one in this series. Kresley Cole is such a gifted story teller.

    • I agree. I am just finishing Poison Princess up today, and although it took me a while to get into it, once I did I really enjoyed it. Looking forward to the next one, too.

  5. Absolutely love poisen princess, read it so many times, can’t wait for the rest of the books to come out.

How did you like Endless Knight? I was surprised by how much I felt for Aric…who plans on liking Death?

  6. @ Corie, I’ve been billing this one as: The young adult novel all adults should be reading. It’s not really a novel set I’d hand to young teens, maybe older ones. They’re totally riveting and aside from Kresley’s unfortunate love of cliffhangers, groan, they’re just amazing. Action, adventure, romance, angst, friendship, drama, just so much depth to the characters and so many mysteries to solve. I can’t really recommend them enough.
